    I used this in a tikka massala and it gave it the perfect creamy consistency. This cream is amazingly thick, and because it’s not coconut-based it doesn’t melt into a puddle of oil. It keeps its creamy consistency and colour.

    Will definitely be trying again to make pasta sauces etc…

    I used this to make the most amazing and convincing Alfredo sauce. My partner who isn’t vegan said it tasted like the real deal. He can’t stop raving about it. As soon as I cooked it I ordered more cooking cream because it was so good.

    Ingredients:
    500ml Vegan Life cooking cream
    120g Vegan Life parmesan
    4 cloves garlic
    Vegan butter
    250g mushrooms
    500g fettuccine

    Method:
    Cook the fettuccine in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, according to the package instructions. Reserve 240 ml of the pasta water, then drain the pasta and set it aside.

    In a large saucepan, melt the vegan butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

    Add the sliced mushrooms to the saucepan and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown, stirring occasionally.

    Pour in the vegan cream and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for a few minutes until slightly thickened.

    Add the vegan parmesan cheese to the saucepan, and stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.

    Add the cooked fettuccine to the saucepan and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce and mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Really impressive texture, just like dairy-based thickened cream. I used it in a soup and cooked it for a while and it stayed creamy. It’s good for curries and soups and things where there are lots of flavours going on, but I found it a bit strongly flavoured to use it as the base for a cream sauce.

    I used this last night to make a potato bake, which turned out amazing. I hadn’t made one of these in years & was happy that it tasted just as good. The cream is a lovely thick consistency & has a neutral taste which I liked as most plant based creams have a coconut flavour. Looking forward to using the cream in other recipes.

    Very strong overpowering flavour that I did not enjoy in my creamy pasta sauce and cheezy roasted cauliflower. Disappointed as the vegan whippable cream was amazing.
